Edition Overview
Albert Einstein (1879–1955) was a German-born, Swiss-American theoretical physicist, philosopher and author. His scientific works, like the theory of relativity, the theory of everything and the formula E =m², completely revolutionised prevailing ideas about space, time, matter and energy. In 1952 his theories where the basis of the discovery of a new element Einsteinium, which is named after him. Though Einstein was foremost a scientist, he was also a devoted pacifist.
